Pin gages are used similarly to a plug gage in that they can accurately size a hole in a "go" or "no go" manner. Sold in a set or individually (minimum order requirement applies), pin gages are generally sold in .001", .0005", .0001" increments and have a class X, Z, or ZZ tolerance. Furthermore, pin gauges are produced with a unilateral tolerance with deviation in one direction, either plus or minus. i.e. (+.0001, -.0000) or (+.0000, -.0002)
