Whta Air Micrometer Work?
After clean air is produced with a compressor and filtered, it is blown out nozzle with its pressure kept constant by a regulator.
When the clearance between the nozzle and the work to be measured changes, the amount of air being blown out the nozzle also changes, causing the height of a float to change.
The movement in position of the float can determine the actual dimensions of the piece of work.
There is an Electronic Micrometer similar to the above-mentioned relative measuring instrument.
It measures dimensions with a contracting type gauge head(detector).
This system that electrically magnifies the mechanical and very little variation enables precise measurement with prompt response, differing from an Air Micrometer.
Application of Air Micrometer
It's used in every aspect of industry including consumer electronics 3C, audio & visual devices, automotive and communication devices are becoming more and more microscopic etc.
Air Micrometer can be used not only to measure dimensions, but also for complicated profile measuring, automatic measuring, automatic sorting and etc., making them practical over a wide variety of uses. The measuring head can be standardized according to measuring factors and also by order-made designs to meet various measuring requirement.
Type of Air Micrometer
We three basic models-the column model (AM-F series), Multi Channel Digital model (AM-D/AM-E series), and SPC model (AM-P series)
WHY USE AIR micrometer and what could be measure?
Measurable items including inner diameter, outer diameter, slot width, distance between two holes, depth, thickness, roundness, taper, coaxiality, straightness, flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, ventilation and sealability.
1)With high quality and superior stability, it is easy to operate.
2)Non-contact measurement, the work-piece to be measured is not corrupted.
3)Measured by air blow, an accurate measured value can be obtained without being affected by oil or dusts.
4)Many kinds of measuring heads are available, for a wide range of measuring purposes.
5)A unique taper tube keeps the float from sticking to the upper area. Furthermore it is easy to remove and fabricate (column type).
6)Because of column type, it can easily be set up to measure multiple measuring.
7)The back pressure type has superior stability of measured value in measurement against change of air pressure.
8)In addition to the basic functions, other automatic measuring functions such as data output are installed.
COLUMN AIR MICROMETER (AM-Fseries)
The column-type air micrometer is a measuring instrument with an easy to see three color bargraoh display. The combination with an air/electric A/E converter provides this compact instrument with an automatic mastering function.

2) An eight digit alphanumeric display indicates the measured value+set items and other types of information.
3) Control keys are used to automatically calibrate the instrument with themaximum and minimum masters.
4) Operation is simple since master settings can be configured via the operating keys.

Multi-channel AIR MICROMETER (Model: AM-D series /AM-E series)
AM-D series air mirometer adopts the embedded single-chip computer technology and designed digital product. It is a newer product of traditional air mirometer. Data acquisition and digital processing of the analog signal quantity, can directly display the measured dimension. The absolute measurement value of the measured dimension or the change relative to the nominal dimension value is the relative measurement value.
According to the pre-set dimensional tolerance limit of the workpiece, it indicates whether the measured workpiece is qualified or not.
It can be used as a single unit or combined with multiple units to save operation space.
